GET MOTIVATED

Friday, June 18th, 2010

I Just got back from the “Get Motivated” Seminar. I’m motivated! What a great line up of speakers. General Colin Powell, John Walsh (America’s Most Wanted TV Show), Rudy Giuliani, Zig Ziglar, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney and a bunch of others. What an inspiring day. Let me share a few of my “take a way’s” with you.

Colin Powell said: “It doesn’t matter where you start, it’s where you end up”. Another favorite saying of his is: “I’d rather look through the windshield of life instead of the rear view mirror”. He defined the role of a leader. A leaders role is to always put his followers in a safe place. I thought about JD Premium. That really is the goal of our leaders and the company, to put our followers in a safe place. He went on to say: “Make sure everyone knows what you are about”. Another was “have a purpose bigger than you are”. That will cause you to grow. I wish I could share all of the notes. It was so good.

One thing he did was make you feel proud to be an American and also reassure you that this great nation has seen hard times before and we’ve always pulled out. Now is no different. We can and will pull out if we turn to God and pull together on the same rope.

Add your comments or motivational tips. I’d love to hear what you have to say.

“The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people.” Theodore Roosevelt

DOES ANYONE HAVE AN APPLE?

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

I was just reading in the June Success magazine about Steven Jobs. They ran a little time line on him. Listen to this:

  • Born in 1955 – adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs.
  • 1970 – 1971. Meets future business partner Steve Wozniak. Works at Hewlett Packard. Graduates in 1972, starts college and drops out.
  • 1976 creates the rudimentary Apple 1 computer.
  • 1977 introduces Apple II, one of the first successful personal computers.
  • 1984 releases the Macintosh with graphical user interface.
  • 1985 a power struggle with John Sculley, CEO of apple results in Jobs’ departure.
  • 1986 Jobs founds NeXT computer hardware. Buys Pixar from George Lucas for less than $10,000,000.00.
  • 1990 Apple buys NeXT and Jobs returns to apple at the helm.
  • 2001 releases the iPod.
  • 2005 video iPod and iPod shuffle are released.
  • 2006 Disney buys Pixar making Jobs Disney’s largest shareholder.
  • 2007 Apple unveils the iPhone, an internet and multimedia enabled smartphone. The iPod Touch music player comes out.
  • 2009 Apple releases the iPhone 3GS, the newest, fastest and most powerful iPhone to date.
  • 2010 Apple launches the iPad tablet computer (by the way, they sell 2,000,000 of these things every two months.)
  • 2011 – ??? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we.

Do you get the picture? Look at all of the opportunities he had to “quit” or to give up. I mean, how would you like to be pushed out of your own company? He could have gotten a lot of sympathy mileage out of that. He was also adopted. He certainly could have felt bad about that if he had chosen to. What did he do instead? He never stopped doing what he was created to do – create and invent. He let nothing stand in his way. When the chips seemed down he saw a new way to create something better. Truly an inspirational life. Here are a few of his favorite quotes:

“Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.”

“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower”.

“He sees what should be before others”.

“You can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new”.

About Referral Marketing

02A10T1ADon’t miss the Miracle of Referral Marketing

Does it surprise you that there have been more millionaires created by the referral marketing industry than the next two most profitable industries combined? If your child were going to college with a goal to become independently wealthy, it would be foolish to not study referral marketing, wouldn’t it?

In corporate life, many employees will only work hard enough to keep from getting fired, and employers will only pay them enough to keep them from quitting. Just ask yourself where the real opportunities to promote yourself are in corporate life. Here’s the usual 40:40:40 promise: you put in 40 hours a week for 40 years, to retire on 40% of what you made (and couldn’t get ahead of ) while you were working.

The miracle of referral marketing is in part-time effort

You begin building your fortune in referral marketing by working five to ten hours a week without sacrificing your present paycheck. Compare this prospect to if your current boss gave you this offer:

You work for five to ten extra hours every week doing exactly what I tell you to do. You won’t have any extra pay for those extra hours. But at the end of one year, you will be able to retire on your full salary, guaranteed. What would you think? Would you take the offer?

Here are some concerns to consider:

What if your spouse complains about those extra unpaid hours? Would you quit over that? What if the routine became boring? What if the offer were to last 18 months or two years? Would you still take it?

I suspect you’d stick it out and think you had the greatest offer in the world because you could not only retire on full salary after the first period, but put in for another full retirement on part-time work the next year.

That is our simple referral marketing promise
In referral marketing you can leverage as little as five hours a week doing precisely those habits your successful trainers tell you to follow and retire after one or two years on a full salary or more. Referral marketing at JD Premium offers you something even better than that. The company actually pays you all along the way. It may not be much at first, but as your matrix fills and your organization duplicates itself over and over, you will see a miracle happen.

Unfortunately, what you’ll hear from some beginners after their first month is this, “I’m not earning as much as I expected with all this effort. Why am I making so little?” They only complain because they don’t understand the miracle of referral marketing. Once you understand it, you’ll never look back at the “security” of a corporate job again. In referral marketing, it’s the exact opposite.

Is it for you?

02A10VKQWhat would you do if you lost your job today? Do you have an additional income stream that could replace your salary in short order? In today’s economy, more and more people are asking such questions, and many are turning to referral marketing for answers.

When you find a product that gave you good results, would you share your great results even if there were no compensation? People across the country are having great results with JD Premium and because they’re spreading the word, they’re making money. Thousands of baby boomers whose aches and pains are showing up will plug into the wellness revolution that’s sweeping the globe and get amazing results with JD Premium. The JD Premium opportunity will level the playing field and allow thousands of ordinary people to make a lot of money simply sharing their results.

Control Your Fear

Monday, May 10th, 2010

By Roger Ball, Owner, JD Premium

When people ask me if I’ve ever had a failure, I often respond, “No. But I’ve had a lot of education. And the education I’ve had from some businesses has been very expensive.”

There are thousands of excuses for failures, but success needs no excuse. It’s usually a waste of time to make excuses for failure. It’s all just gaining an education. It’s gaining more knowledge.

I often ask people, “What would you accomplish if you weren’t afraid?” Most people would accomplish much more in life than they do. Fear keeps them from becoming all they can become.

People wonder how one musters enough courage to start a new business. We all have different personalities, abilities, gifts, and talents. I think God gave me a gift not to have much fear of starting a new venture.

Here’s how I like to describe it. Picture a huge volcano blowing poisonous gasses all around and I am with a group of people who needed to cross a raging river escape from the volcano. If someone didn’t lead out and jump into the river, all might be killed by the volcano. I’d be the first in the river…even if I wasn’t a very good swimmer. Why? I know there would be others who would follow me who are better swimmers than I am, and they would save me, themselves, and everyone else. But I somehow have less reservation to jump, so my gift is to lead out where others would be afraid and turn away from the river.

Sometimes having no fear can be dangerous, especially if you don’t understand the dangers involved. I love to fly small planes in the rugged mountains of Idaho. It’s thrilling for me. But many of my friends have died there in small planes. Having looked disaster in the face there many times, I’ve developed a healthy fear of the weather and the mountains. If you have no fear, but you also don’t have knowledge, wisdom, or experience, it can be deadly.

In this business we have had lots of education so you don’t have to get it. A team of wise people with lots of business experience in this industry are standing by to make sure that your friends who come into this business won’t get hurt. We make our pledge that we will never keep more than 10% profit, the rest will be paid out through the downlines! We will live by our word.

At JD Premium we’ve done all we can to take the fear out of your experience with us. Like in every home-based business, there will be ups and downs. But you won’t have the hurdles, the take-aways, or the complexities that trip you up as you build your business. You’re in business for yourself but not by yourself.

Antioxidants are the key to better health

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

antioxidentAntioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. When our body cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals (by-products) which can cause damage. Antioxidants are naturally present in your body, and you may know some of them as Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Beta-carotene, Lutein, Lycopene, Coenzyme Q-10 and other names.

Here is a list of commonly known antioxidants:
Vitamin A and Carotenoids – carrots, squash, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, kale, collards, cantaloupe, peaches and apricots.
Vitamin C – Citrus fruits like organs and limes, etc. Green peppers, broccoli, green leafy vegetales, strawberries.
Vitamin E – are nuts and seeds, whole grains, green leafy vegetables.

“Antioxidants” is a collective name for a number of substances of different types, but with the common quality that they stop harmful free radicals. Their effects on the human body are amazingly beneficial. Antioxidants are present in many foods, most famously in berries, certain vegetables, red wine, green tea and even dark chocolate, and are also beneficial when taken as supplements. One of the great things about antioxidants is that they are not drugs or pharmaceuticals – they are essential and naturally occurring compounds.

The research in antioxidants is increasing every week, with more and more scientists becoming fascinated by how these natural compounds may make your life better. Therefore, many of the good things about antioxidants are still to be discovered.

The JD Premium Antioxidant blend is loaded with those high quality antioxidants needed for the body. If you haven’t tried them, take a minute and order them today!

Choose good foods while eating out!

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

02A10K75There are many people who eat out every day for lunch or in the evening just for fun and convenience.  Unfortunately, the restaurant menus are filled with landmines of destruction to your health.  Here are a few ideas for choosing a healthy way of eating out:

1.  Look for light options on the menu.  There are many restaurants that have light, low fat or healthy sections on their menus.  Check out the list and decide to lessen the fats and calories.

2.  Order a salad or soup first.  Get a healthy start on your meal.  Many times after eating the soup/salad you will find that you are not as hungry and taking the food you ordered in a carry out bag can give you another meal for your next day’s lunch.  You don’t have to eat everything on your plate.

3.  Speaking of eating everything on your plate, find a good friend or ask your spouse if they will share the meal with you.  You can add an extra potato or salad to this shared meal and you will feel satisfied instead of stuffed with the large meal.

4.  Avoid fancy drinks.  Most mixed drinks like margaritas or pina coladas are full of sugar.  Don’t order soda pop with your meals because the waitress will continue to bring you extra glasses of the drink.  Before you know it, you may have drunk 4-5 refills which adds up huge in calories and sugars.  Ask for extra lemons or limes for your water to be able to enjoy the flavored water if water isn’t your favorite thing to drink.

5.  Stay away from hidden fats.  Descriptions on the menu like “creamy, stuffed, sauced, or breaded” generally indicate that the dish is heavy with fats.

6.  Ask for what you want.  If the meal you want only comes with fried chicken, ask if you can have it grilled instead.  Also ask to replace your stuffed potato with a side of extra vegetables.  If they bring bread to the table, ask that they do not.

Take the health responsibility for what is served to you in your local restaurants!

MEDICAL TIP: Take Responsibility for Your Own Health from Dr. David Bowman.

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

02A10NU5After seeing patients for over 15 years, I have come to the following conclusions:

1.  Take care of your health.  If you don’t take responsibility for your own health, nobody else will.  Whether you see a doctor or listen to other people’s advise about your health, the bottomline person who is responsible for your health is YOU.

2.  Ask for written material from your doctor or bring a pad to write on.  You need to take a note pad with you to write down what the doctor says, and, if necessary, have him give you written material on what is going on with your health concerns.

3.  Be assertive. If your doctor is standing with his or her hand on the doorknob and you still feel confused, then say so. You should never leave a doctor’s office with unanswered questions.  Ask him the questions on your mind; or better yet, have your questions written down ahead of time.

4.  Since today’s time-crunched doctors may not have extra minutes to inform you of all the possible side effects and contraindications of your medications, you must assume some of this responsibility. Talk to your pharmacist or take the initiative to read all the materials given to you about your medication. Again, take responsibility for what medicines go into your mouth.

5.  The days of the authoritative physician and the passive patient are gone. Much of the burden of making sure you get quality care has shifted to YOU, the patient.

WELLNESS TIP: What are you going to eat this weekend?

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

02A10H3SHave you ever watched what you are putting in your grocery cart?  I mean really, have you ever stopped and noticed what choices you are making for you and your family when it comes to eating every day?  I was asked to take another look at my grocery cart years ago, and I was surprised at the number of “processed” foods I casually put in my cart.

Here are a few suggestions I heard years ago to help you find the health you are searching for when it comes to food choices.

1.  Always shop on the outside aisles of the grocery store., i.e. this is where you will find the fresh fruits and veggies, the fresh meats, the whole grain breads, the dairy (if you are not allergic to dairy). Have you noticed that the inside aisles are mainly “processed” – meaning in a box or can.  Remember there are many additives in those boxes that aren’t healthy for you.  If it’s not fresh, then really it is dead nutrition.

2.  Choose to eat 80% fresh or outside aisles.  The other 20% for me are those items I need in the inside aisles.

3.  Look at the extra products they have tempting you as you stand in the check-out line.   Look at the candy bars and ask yourself, is this really worth it?  Will this create an imbalance in my blood sugars?  Is the flavor of that candy worth the cost of how it affects my body?

4.  What drinks did you buy?  Are they loaded with sugars?  Do you realize that drinks don’t have to sit in your stomach 3-4 hours to digest?  They hit your stomach in seconds after swallowing, which then hits the blood stream shortly thereafter.  Your pancreas secretes insulin to calm down all that sugar.  If you are insulin resistant, diabetic or even hypoglycemic, you will pay the price of that sugared drink.

Again, be aware of what you are eating and what you are feeding the family.

MEDICAL TIP:  ” K48-PLUS can reduce the risks of depression.

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

02A10MEDMany times when we get too stressed we can become depressed as well.  In countries where fish consumption is high, it has been observed that depression rates are lower than in countries where fish consumption is low.  In 1999 two studies confirmed that an important relationship exists between omega 3 fatty acids and mental health.

Psychiatry Research published findings that showed depressed subjects appear to have a fatty acid imbalance in their system.  The research suggested that depression could be overcome with omega-3 supplementation.  When you consider the powerful need to have Omega-3 in the body, consider the fact that our K48-PLUS Premium Omega 3 might be the answer to assisting your depression in a natural way without having to take those prescription medications that might be causing negative side effects that are harmful to your body.  Don’t worry, be happy, take your K48-PLUS every day and find the joys in life again!
